Information for Technician/Technologist-in-Training Applicants
The Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET) is a self-regulating professional association that certifies technicians and technologists and regulates practice in accordance to the ASET Code of Ethics with a mandate to protect the public. Certified members of the profession meet a standard of excellence in academics and experience. ASET works closely with colleges, technical institutions, national organizations, and industry to maintain this standard.
Individuals applying with international education must submit the results of an assessment conducted by a member organization of the Alliance of Credential Evaluation Services of Canada, as per the education requirements set out in section II.b. of the Board of Examiner’s Regulated Membership policy (BOE-100).
It is recommended that T.T. members using the designation outside of Alberta include (Alberta) after the designation to indicate that the T.T. title is issued and recognized in the province of Alberta.

Once your T.T. membership has been approved you will be assessed prorated membership dues. Please refer to www.aset.ab.ca for information on membership dues.
